Activities & Clubs

Student Council is open to students in grades 3rd-8th. Being a member of Belen Soto’s student council is a serious commitment. When students apply to be apart of Student Council, students are agreeing to spend ONE YEAR dedicated to school service. Student Council helps share ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and administration. It also helps raise funds for school-wide activities. Applications for the following school year will be handed out every May. That way Student Council is ready to go when the new school year starts in August.

NEHS is for students in grades 4th-5th who were nominated by teachers, applied and were accepted during the second semester of their 3rd & 4th grade year. NEHS are active in school and community service, leadership activities, and serve as role models for their fellow students.

NJHS is for students in grades 7th & 8th who were nominated by teachers, applied and were accepted during the second semester of their 6th & 7th grade year. NJHS are active in school and community service, leadership activities, and serve as role models for their fellow students.

Stand Up Speak Up is for students in grades 7th and 8th. Stand Up Speak Up is a club geared to creating a safe place for students to speak up for their friends in need.

Multiplication Club is for students in grades 3rd-5th. Multiplication Club is where students will learn and practice multiplication facts in a fun and interactive way. Come join The Multiplication Club! Let's master our facts!

Girls Who Code are for students in grades 3rd-5th. Girls Who Code is a club that introduces students to coding skills and promotes community, teamwork, and 21st century learning for the future.

Garden Club is for students in grades 6th-8th. The garden club is responsible for planting, maintaining and harvesting our school garden.

Student Ambassadors is for students in grades 4th-8th.Student Ambassadors is a service club on campus. We strive to do acts of service at Belen Soto as well as surrounding communities. Our goal is to leave a place better than how we found it.

Star Wars Club is for students in grades 4th-8th. Star Wars Club is a club where we have students who share the passion for all things Star Wars. This club meets on Friday mornings. Typically we use VR to immerse into the world of Star Wars, build LEGO sets, and hold discussions on theories and recent news.

Girls On The Run are for girls in grades 3rd-5th. Girls on the Run is a club that brings girls together to create friendships, learn about different problem solving strategies, and build their physical confidence all while completing fun activities. The girls create lap goals and build endurance to complete a 5k race at the end of the season.

Storm Singers is for students in 4th-8th grade. This is a before school club for 4th-8th graders that love to sing. Our focus is on developing our singing technique and exploring part singing. We sing from more traditional choir literature and have students help choose songs from modern music.

Art Club is for students in 6th-8th grade. Middle School Art Club is a club that allows for students that have a love of art to create fun projects and learn new artistic techniques. Students are able to express themselves creatively and contribute ideas on what types of projects they would like to work on.
